Susan Hutton Siderovski began her career as a certified public health inspector and obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in environmental health from Ryerson University in 1987. Mrs. Siderovski worked as a certified inspector in the following Ontario cities: Belleville, Trenton, Kingston, Sharbot Lake, and Whitby. Given her interest in infectious disease, she attended Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario and recieved a Master of Science degree in community health and epidemiology in 1989.
Mrs. Siderovski’s research into indoor air quality, blue-green algal blooms in recreational waters, cancer cluster investigation methods, and health outcome evaluations have led to published articles in the Environmental Health Review, Canadian Journal of Public Health, and the Journal of the Canadian Evaluation Society. She has made presentations at the Ontario Public Health Association, Ontario Branch (Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors), and Association of Ontario Public Health Epidemiologists scientific meetings.
Christine Adamec has authored and coauthored many books for Facts On File, including The Encyclopedia of Cancer and Cancer Medicine (2019), The Encyclopedia of Infectious Diseases (2020), and numerous other titles on pivotal medical and psychological issues.
