Summary

With almost seven billion people occupying Earth, many believe that the world is on the brink of an environmental crisis and catastrophic shortfall of natural resources. As the population continues to swell, scientists and governments all over the world are grappling with questions and concerns. Environment and Natural Resources addresses the problems of overpopulation, adequate land for an ever-increasing agricultural demand, the effects climate change has on the environment, resources, and humankind, the availability of fresh water, and whether the planet's natural endowment is doomed to destruction.
